50s Jacques Fath Wool Blazer | S-M

Rare vintage early 1950s Jacques Fath black wool New Look blazer jacket. Collarless design with rounded shoulders and a unique double layer front closure giving the illusion of a scalloped and cropped bolero over a fitted underlayer. Nipped waist and curved hip for the iconic New Look shape. Fully lined in black silk.

Fath is often referenced as having inspired some of Dior's thinking and designs in this critical time period. The partnership between French couturier Jacques Fath and American business man Joseph Halpert was one of the first of its kind and created a unique opportunity for a French demi couture RTW line. to be sold in America.
